Playing it safe won’t get you your dreams.

If you want to dream impossible dreams, or dream big, you can’t also play it safe. I know because I excel at playing it safe.

This Spring, for the first time, feels like we are leaving behind the chaos of the Pandemic, one of the most stressful times in recent history. As we take off masks and enter back into life again, I wonder if you are still kind of shocked and dazed? For a while there was a “new-normal” that required masks and mandated behaviors, but no longer. This is not political by any means, but it is very personal.

Each of us learned, over the last three years (or maybe over your lifetime) to act and react in certain ways, and now, the threats are resolved and we can relax and begin to work at the office, gather clients, travel and enjoy life again. What does this have to do with dreams? Everything.

When you are surviving, you can’t dream. Your goal is to be safe, stay safe and play it safe. But now, everything has opened up. Have you?

Are you “playing it safe.” Be honest and courageously begin to put yourself out there again.

The world waits for who you are and the gifts you bring.
