Melting

Instead of a winter wonderland, the morning was wrapped in ice shimmering from every limb.

It was exquisite. Then the sun’s dazzling warmth began the melt, and by mid-morning all was springtime and puddles.

I wonder if there is any ice encasing your heart. Is there any deep emotion that needs to be warmed by the fire of love? If you do not let the light in to melt your regrets and sadness, you may be like the tree, frozen in time. From a fellow traveler through grief, I encourage you to find those who love you and soak up their kindness, and bring compassion to your own heart so that it can melt again. Intense feelings can be challenging but give them space and time to heal in the light and warmth of each new day.

Springtime will come, open your heart to a new season.
