Planting hope
We are having our walkway redone… by an amazing crew from Knott’s Land Care, they are professional, careful, and kind. They patiently let me dig up my bulbs the first morning they arrived, so I could preserve my front garden beds. Under the soil of the almost blooming hyacinths are these huge bulbs and little roots.
What was hidden has been revealed. Purple flowers, heavy with fragrance and beauty will unfold; everything in the bulb creates the bloom.
Our lives hold that kind of big promise, big possibility. But we will need to ask ourselves, where do my roots go? What beliefs do I hold? The hyacinth is so fortunate; it just does what it was created to do! We are way more complex, but we can ask ourselves questions for clarity.
When I replant this flower, it will be a little shocked and may not finish blooming this season, but next year it will.
What season are you in?
One of stability? How are your beliefs fueling the life you want?
One of change? Someone has yanked you out of your comfort zone? Be patient and use this time to consider your beliefs and adjust them.
One of loss? You might not be flourishing now, but water the soil of your life with the needed tears; in time, the seasons will change.
Our new walkway welcomes the world, and in a way, so does my book, Rejecting Fear.
I want to plant hope, invite the world into my story and client stories to give courage so others can live into who they can be free of fear, confident, joy-filled, and peaceful.
