Easy Overnight Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. Dry Activated Yeast

  • 2 tsp. Sugar

  • 1 cup Warm Milk

  • 7 Tbsp. Butter, melted

  • 7 Tbsp. Sugar

  • 3 Eggs, beaten

  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • 4 ½ cups Flour

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar

  • 2 tsp. Cinnamon

  • 2 cups Confectioners' Sugar

  • 2 Tbsp. Orange Juice

Instructions:

  1. Proof the Yeast: In a large bowl, mix together 1 Tbsp. of dry activated yeast, 2 tsp. sugar, and 1 cup of warm milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. Prepare the Dough: To the yeast mixture, add 7 Tbsp. melted butter, 7 Tbsp. sugar, 3 beaten eggs, 1 tsp. salt, and gradually mix in 4 ½ cups of flour. Combine well until the dough is formed.

  3. First Rise: Cover the dough in a foil-lined bowl and let it rest in the refrigerator overnight.

  4. Shape the Rolls: The next day, remove the dough from the fridge. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into an 18” x 14” rectangle. Brush the surface with 4 Tbsp. melted butter.

  5. Add Filling: Sprinkle 1 cup of brown sugar and 2 tsp. of cinnamon evenly over the buttered dough.

  6. Roll the Dough: Carefully roll up the dough lengthwise to form an 18-inch log.

  7. Cut and Second Rise: Cut the log into 2-inch slices. Place the slices, swirl side up, in a well-buttered baking pan. Allow them to rise for about 30 minutes, or until slightly puffed.

  8. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cinnamon rolls for 18 minutes, or until golden brown.

  9. Prepare the Icing: While the rolls are baking, mix 2 cups of confectioners' sugar with 2 Tbsp. of orange juice to create the icing.

  10. Finish: Once the rolls are slightly cooled, drizzle them with the prepared icing.

Enjoy your delicious Overnight Cinnamon Rolls! 🍞✨
